Discovery Link Summer 2025

SPREE had a fantastic time visiting two groups of Discovery Link students this summer! We focused on two exciting topics with each group: Birds and Pollinators.

Students learned about how birds survive and interact with their habitats through hands-on activities and games. They challenged themselves to build a nest using a clothespin and participated in a hopscotch migration challenge course. Additionally, they drew a habitat and crafted a bird out of clay, which they were able to take home!

Students also explored the different types of pollinators, their importance in the ecosystem, and how they can help protect them. They dressed up like bees, learned about the waggle dance (and even performed it themselves!), and participated in an exciting pollinator relay race.

Overall, students had a lot of fun while gaining valuable knowledge!
