On April 19th an incredible group of local teens proved just how much impact a couple of hours can make! Our rescheduled cleanup event at Johnson Habitat Park brought together 37 volunteers who rolled up their sleeves, grabbed gloves and tools, and got to work giving back to the environment.
The results? An impressive 90 pounds of trash collected in just two hours! From bottles and cans to stray plastics and debris, every piece removed made Johnson Habitat Park and the nearby Vanderbilt Park a cleaner, and safer place for both people and wildlife.
Not only did volunteers help protect our local ecosystem, but they also earned service hours, shared laughs, and built new connections with teens from across Denver. The day was all about community, teamwork, and showing some love to the spaces we all share.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made a difference. If you missed this one, don’t worry — more opportunities to give back are always around the corner. Stay tuned for future events where you can help make Denver greener, cleaner, and safer!
