Family Fishing Day 2024
October 12 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am
TRY FISHING WITH YOUR FAMILY
The Greenway Foundation is excited to partner with Denver’s Stormwater Education and Outreach Program, Environmental Learning for Kids (ELK), and Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) to host Family Fishing Day! This program provides an exciting day of fishing at Overland Pond Park along the South Platte River. Kids will learn about fishing etiquette, fishing safety, fish anatomy, and fishing techniques from ELK’s amazing Urban Rangers. Fishing rods and supplies will be provided by CPW.
The event starts at 9am. SPREE and ELK staff will be in the park until noon to help with fishing, and then families are encouraged to stay in the park for as long as they’d like! This event is designed for children aged 3-12, but children of all ages are invited.
This event is FREE but space is limited & prior registration is required!*
