Family Fishing Day 2026
October 3 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am

The Greenway Foundation is excited to partner with Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) to host Family Fishing Day! This program provides an exciting day of fishing at Overland Pond Park along the South Platte River. Kids will learn about fishing etiquette, fishing safety, fish anatomy, and fishing techniques. Fishing rods and supplies will be provided by CPW.
The event starts at 9am. SPREE staff will be in the park until 11 to help with fishing, and then families are encouraged to stay in the park for as long as they’d like! This event is designed for children aged 3-12, but children of all ages are invited.
This event is FREE but space is limited & prior registration is required!
