
GLC: Trail Building at Phantom Canyon

Explore, star gaze, and restore trails at the beautiful private preserve. With the support of The Nature Conservancy, we take this annual trip to help conserve the land in Phantom Canyon, and it’s arguably the best trip of the year!
Date: 11:00AM Tuesday, July 22 – 1:00PM Thursday, July 24 (specific times are subject to change)
Drop off & pick up: Johnson Habitat Park
Food, transportation, and lodging will be provided. As always, no previous experience or gear is needed for this event. This event is free and only open to high school students.
We will meet at Johnson Habitat Park on the morning of Tuesday, July 22 and stay in a cabin in Phantom Canyon Nature Preserve each night. We will do some fun exploring and activities when we arrive on Tuesday. Wednesday, we will do a trail building project led by Wildlands Restoration Volunteers. Thursday we’ll have a little time to hang out in the beauty of Phantom Canyon, and then drive back to Denver.
Service hours provided if needed for school.
