Young Professionals In-Stream September Clean Up

September 24, 2025 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

in stream trash pick up group

For our September Young Professionals Clean-Up, we’re taking it to the water!
We’ll be wading into the South Platte just upstream of the confluence to pull out trash that’s been stuck in the riverbed for way too long. Bring your water shoes and get ready to make a real impact right in the river.
Not into getting wet? No problem. We’ll also have teams picking up trash along the riverbanks, in the park, and on the trail – plenty of ways to pitch in.

Event Details

When: Wednesday, September 24, 5:30-8:00pm – This is a rescheduled date!

Trash Pick Up: 6:00-7:30pm
Refreshments in the park: 7:30-8:00pm
Where: Confluence Park, meeting by the Starbucks in REI
Who: This event is designed for young professionals (whatever you interpret that as!) who are looking to give back and meet some like-minded people
What: We will start by getting our hands dirty and doing an hour of trash pick up in and along the South Platte River.

What to Bring

TGF will provide trash gloves, trash grabbers, and hand-sanitizer.

We encourage you to bring:

  • Water shoes
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Full water bottle
  • A friend! Let’s grow this community!

This is a fun opportunity to spend some time outside, making a positive impact on our community. Not only will you be contributing to a cleaner, healthier river, but you’ll also have the chance to meet other young professionals who share your passion for the environment.

We can’t wait to see you there!
