After their expansive efforts in the communities of Five Points and Aurora, as well as an explosive presentation at the Mile High Flood District’s 2023 Annual Symposium, the Greenway Foundation has decided to partner with the Grassroots Leadership Opportunities (GLO) Ambassadors Program!
Working together, we plan to explore a new method of reaching the local South Platte River community: through local youth! The GLO Ambassadors Program trains ambitious and driven teenagers wishing to participate in professional design projects. These youth learn to represent their communities by planning outreach events, going door-to-door for input, and keeping their community informed through social media development.
As the Greenway Foundation continues efforts in reclaiming the river, we intend to design with the local communities in mind! With GLO, we put the “public” in “public works” by inviting community members to the forefront of the design process!
