Families

Have fun outdoors, learn about nature, and even give back to our community together!  From free family-focused events to downloadable activities to do in your own backyard, there are many ways SPREE can help families connect with each other and with nature in the city.

Connect With Each Other. Connect With Nature.

You don’t have to trek to the mountains to spend quality time with your family in nature. The Greenway Foundation gets families immersed in meaningful activities – like fishing or collaborative art projects – where everyone can contribute along the South Platte River. Try something new with the people you love most, on the river that brings us all together.

The River is Better Together

The Greenway Foundation hosts free family events throughout the year. Create art, roast a marshmallow, catch a fish from fresh water. And do it together. You’ll make lasting memories along the river – your kids will be begging for you to take them back.

SPREE Lessons At Home

Bring the innovating and engaging activities the SPREE team uses at Greenway’s camps and events into your home. We have videos, river exploration ideas, and even missions from Chompers that kids will dive right into. Get learning, get going, and maybe even get a little muddy.

Camps Kids (and Parents) Love

When school is out, SPREE is in the river! Our award-winning camps keep the lessons flowing and kids love every minute exploring the great outdoors with The Greenway Foundation.

Parents love the high-quality environmental lessons outdoors. Kids love the adventure and fun along the river. Everyone is happy.
