High School
High schoolers in SPREE programs gain sought-after leadership and communication skills, make lifelong friends, and even jump-start environmental careers. Do it all while enjoying the outdoors and making a tangible difference right here where we live.
Ultimate classroom, best-ever summer job or outdoor adventure?
All of the above.
The river offers endless opportunities. What better time than high school to gain new leadership skills and knowledge. From school-year internships to summer employment to free outdoor trips, The Greenway Foundation offers many exciting ways to get involved.
The Greenway Foundation has helped direct my track in my current major. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to learn about in college but my experiences through The Greenway Leadership Corps (GLC) and River Rangers helped me understand that ecology is much more than human’s interactions with the environment. I am now an Earth Science major at Dartmouth College, studying soil sciences with a focus on Agricultural systems - a huge shift from my previous thoughts before my Greenway experiences.
