February GLC:Snowshoeing and outdoor skills

In February GLC partnered with Boulder county open space to learn more about survival in the outdoors. We then took a beautiful hike in our snowshoes and learned all about the wildlife in Colorado, and their behaviors. We even got to learn about the trees in Colorado and how they have adapted to the weather!

We were able to rotate through different stations where park rangers taught us how to make survival shelters with limited resources, treat frostbite and hypothermia, and make sure our vehicles have everything they need to survive a winter storm. We walked away from the day feeling confident and prepared for the outdoors
