Whether you are thinking about being a wildlife biologist when you grow up, want to learn about volunteering with kids, love exploring the outdoors, or just want to meet new people and help out your South Platte River – come join the Greenway Leadership Corps! We welcome everyone to the group and are an all-inclusive organization.
Greenway Leadership Corps (GLC) is a youth group in Denver for high school students to learn more about the environment and become active, informed citizens. Once a month starting in the spring of 2015, there will be a GLC Volunteer Day and meeting by the South Platte River. In addition to completing work projects to help out the South Platte Greenway, students will complete team-building exercises and also have a chance to hear from different guest speakers in the environmental field. Students who come to at least one volunteer day will also have the opportunity to attend GLC Outdoor Adventures trips, where they will travel around the city or up to the mountains for awesome new experiences in nature and more opportunities to volunteer outdoors
