This month high schoolers from the Greenway River Ranger program met down at Overland Pond Park in Denver to teach a group of 5th grade students from Creative Challenge Community (C3) school.
The River Ranger crew led the 5th graders through different activities covering a variety of subjects, including water testing, pollution in the city, beaver adaptations, river rafting, and catching creatures in the pond.
The Greenway River Ranger Internship Program is designed for high school students to explore possibilities in the environmental field through training, hands-on teaching experience, and outdoor adventure. Students will develop leadership, strong communication, and critical thinking skills that will serve as powerful tools for their future. Click here to learn more about the program!
