Fall is here and so is harvest season! TGF joined Denver’s passionate organizations in
celebrating the 10th annual HarvestSHARE this past Saturday. HarvestSHARE is a festival aimed
to provide experiences of belonging and healing through shared harvest.
Amidst the Zumba, rock wall, local food trucks, live music, there was SPREE! We brought
everyone’s favorite, “who’s scat is that”, information on free outdoor youth and family events,
and knowledge about the South Platte River!
This year’s HarvestSHARE took place in six parks on the Eastside for people that live within
three blocks of the eight parks: the Westwood and Cole neighborhoods. Each park had a
respective community-based nonprofit who hosted the space.
We were happy to spend our Saturday at George Morrison Park, hosted by My Outdoor
Colorado (MOC). MOC is an organization that works to connect Cole and Westwood youth with
the outdoors through nature-based education, recreation, and skill- building opportunities.
Special thanks to HarvestSHARE for allowing us to be a part of this great event and thank you to
everyone who stopped by! We hope to see some familiar faces at our upcoming events for
more community time spent outdoors!
