For our May GLC event we had a fun park day all planned out. This event was largely affected by weather but despite that we had an amazing day! We held the event at Johnson Habitat Park. We were not sure what the weather would permit so we adjusted the day to be a park day but also a day to paint and watch movies. For the first half of the day it was still pretty cold so we decided to stay inside and paint. We realized how calming it could be to just paint and talk. We had very artistic Students join us. Our students even helped decorate bags for Project Angel Heart, which donates food to those who need it. We kept the view to outside open looking towards the river. Which added more relaxation to the day. Later in the day the weather was much better ,and everyone had more energy, so we headed outside and played some four square. Unfortunately we ran out of time to keep playing which was a bummer since we were having so much fun. No worries because we have another fun event on June 16-18th where we are going camping and completing a challenge course. You can find the information for that HERE!
