Plants and Animals of the City was our second theme of the summer. We had an amazing week learning about the incredible life that is right under our noses in Denver! Even though we live in the city, there are still plants and animals in our urban environment- especially in and around our creeks and rivers.
We learned about native and invasive plants, predators and prey, reptiles and amphibians, and how all of these living and non living things work together to create a habitat!
Our guest speaker this week was DMNS, who brought in amazing Colorado animal knowledge and skins and skulls!
