Russell Square Park: Grand Opening

It was no joke how amazing this April 1st event was at Russell Square Park.

Put on by My Outdoor Colorado and 7 other partners, this park grand opening saw hundreds of visitors check out the new playground, watch Grupo Tlaloc Danza Azteca dance, and go on a great Easter egg hunt. SPREE was there with a bunny themed brown bag craft and everyone’s favorite game “Whose Scat Is That?” Denver Parks and Rec was there sharing information on how to borrow all sorts of equipment from the Denver Gear Library to encourage Denverites to get outdoors and explore with the right gear. There was also a bike powered blender there to make sure no one went thirsty, and stayed cool in the beautiful heat of the day. We had a great time there and hope to see you at our next park opening.
