This past Saturday was overcast in weather but sunny in spirits! We welcomed over 40 people to Bear Creek Park for Spring Family Stewardship Day. Together we moved like animals, created bubble wands, frog games, and had some good snacks. But, more importantly, we also picked up almost 300 gallons of trash from in and along Bear Creek, a tributary of the South Platte River. In addition to the gallons of trash our volunteers were responsible for finding 5 shopping carts, tires, springs, and so much more!
We enjoyed our time together outdoors, along the creek, and throughout the playground and park. And even got to see a local snake up close too.
