Family at Art on the River 2022

Art on the River is a chance for families to explore the different ways art can be inspired by nature. Each spring, The Greenway Foundation connects children and families with artists to create vibrant art along the South Platte River. This event is free and all families are welcome.  We have limited space, so prior registration is required.

When: Saturday, May 13; 10am – 1pm
Where: Hyrdo Building at CSU Spur, 4777 National Western Dr., Denver, CO 80216
Parking: Available on CSU Spur’s campus. See more specific information below
Who: This event is designed for children aged 3-12, but children of all ages are invited.

This event is FREE but space is limited & prior registration is required!*

CSU Spur Second Saturday

This event will be held in conjunction with CSU Spur’s Second Saturday event. Come do some nature arts and crafts with the SPREE staff, and then see what else Second Saturday has to offer!

2nd Saturdays at CSU Spur (held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) are free and open to the public for lots of family-friendly programming, including cooking activities in the CSU Spur kitchen, opportunities to watch veterinarians perform surgery on dogs and cats, see horses assisting with human therapies, engage with scientists at work, and play in a kid’s kitchen and kid’s vet clinic – allowing kids to become a veterinarian for the day and fix up stuffed animals.

Western Daughters Kitchen, located in the Hydro building, has coffee and food for purchase.
