Despite some miserable weather (rain turning to sleet turning to snow in the blowing wind) the Greenway Leadership Corps still managed an incredibly successful Spring Stewardship day! Dissuaded from our initial plan of a trash pick up, we stayed inside at our John Habitat Park head quarters and blew through our prep for our quickly approaching summer camp.
We were fortunate to have the assistance of more than 30 high school volunteers. Together we reorganized, cleaned up and cleared out spaces which will be crucial in creating a welcoming, productive learning space for our 6 weeks of SPREE Summer Camp.
Perhaps it wasn’t quite as exciting as a snowy trash pick up, still we were able to complete important volunteer work to enable The Greenway Foundation’s mission.
