Family Spring Stewardship Day 2026

April 25 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am

Give back to our parks and our planet with SPREE at our FREE, family volunteer event! Join us for a family-friendly trash pick-up led by South Platte River Environmental Education (SPREE) staff. Afterwards, we’ll come together for some crafts and activities.

Adults and kids over 12 must attend with someone under 12.

No solo adult registrations will be accepted. Please look at our upcoming stewardship events (we have teen and adult events on April 18!) to find one that is for adults and children over 12. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is free, but prior registration is required.

Cost: FREE; Prior registration is required

You will receive a confirmation email upon registration, and will receive another email about a week prior to the event with important day-of information. There will be a waitlist for the event when we reach capacity. Waitlist members will be sent an email with instructions so you can still complete our fun activities on your own!

Location: SPREE HQ at Johnson Habitat Park (610 S Jason St, Denver, CO 80223)

Parking: There is free street parking along S. Jason St, and a free lot on West Exposition Ave

What to Bring

  • Weather appropriate clothing (hat, sunscreen, jacket, etc.)
  • Closed toed shoes
  • Full water bottle​
  • Snacks (light snacks & coffee will be provided)
