Adams County, the City and County of Denver, The Greenway Foundation, and the Mile High Flood District are focused on restoring a 17 mile stretch of the South Platte River from Commerce City and the City of Brighton. To provide meaningful change that reflects the community, they have partnered with GLO Youth Ambassadors from Adams County to educate the community about the project, as well as to provide a voice for the community’s needs. GLO Youth Ambassadors will engage with their communities on various aspects of the process- from designs and ideas to opinions and support. In this way, the youth of Adams County will work to ensure that the changes are holistic, open, and beneficial for everyone involved.
