Heron Pond/Carpio- Sanguinette Parks

Heron Pond/Carpio- Sanguinette Parks (Ongoing)

Better water quality and better park space for the community—that’s the work now underway at Heron Pond/Carpio-Sanguinette Parks. Encompassing a full 80-acre open space along the South Platte River there are added improvements coming from the original plan completed in 2017.

The design includes a regional water quality basin seamlessly integrated in the park to not only improve water quality but create new riparian habitat. The parks will soon feature a pollinator inspired regional playground, walking trails, river access, nature overlooks, and environmental education nodes.
